Who I am + How I work

I’ve spent most of my life working with children and families in one form or another — in classrooms, community programs, and now in therapy. That experience has shown me that connection is the foundation of growth and healing. Whether I’m helping a parent understand their child’s emotions, guiding a couple through difficult conversations, or supporting a family in finding steadier ground, my work always begins with strengthening relationships.

As a Marriage & Family Therapist, I draw from Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) to help families rebuild trust and safety, and from the Gottman Method to support couples in improving communication and emotional closeness. My background in education and family advocacy has shaped a compassionate, practical approach — one that honors both science and real-life experience.

I’ve also raised five children as a mother and stepmother, and that perspective continually deepens my understanding of the challenges families face and the resilience they hold. My goal is to create a space that feels calm, collaborative, and safe for everyone — whether you’re an adult working through your own patterns, a couple feeling disconnected, or a parent worried about your child.

In my practice, I believe change begins when we feel seen and supported. Together, we’ll work toward restoring balance and connection — one small shift at a time.
